Default Bouncing off the rev limiter

This weekend I was a chaser car (filming my friends drag racing).
Like a moron, I was watching them instead of watching my RPMs. I bounced off the rev limiter going from 2nd to 3rd. And 3rd to 4th.

How bad is this?

You do better doughnuts when you are on and off throttle.

For burnouts:

Dump clutch in 1st and while you're spinning you can shift to second.

or................

You can powerbrake (dump clutch) when it starts spinning hold brake with left foot.

For donuts, floor car and turn wheel

Thats nothing. I was at the drag strip yesterday and somehow did a 3-2 downshift instead of a 3-4 upshift at about 85mph. Our tach only goes to 8, but the needle went well past that, probably somewhere between 8500-9000 for about a second or less before I got the clutch back in. Talk about scary!

No damage though, did 3 more runs with equivalent times and have good oil pressure still.

All of you must replace your decelerator bushings and top off your windshield washed reservoirs before driving your cars again.
