U/R Crank Pulley INSTALLED: Review/Writeup Inside !
Did it in about 2 hours, taking my time. I actually made a friend during the install (guy came up and started talking to me), so I kinda too my time with the install and talked to him more than actually working on the car. I honestly had little idea what I was supposed to do when I started in on the install, and at a few points I was ready to give up. The 12mm bolts on the bottom of each tensioner pulley are a B!TCH to get to from the top of the engine bay. Eventually I got it all together, and best of all, no squeal on startup, just a tad bit of squeal on a uturn I made, any ideas on this? I highly recommend this mod, I feel a slight increase in power, and lots better idle/takeoff and better throttle response. Great product, and great DIY project for someone who isn't afraid to break into their motor.
PS: Get some mechanix gloves for this. My hands look like they've met a weed eater...

What size belt did you use?

I did the pulley swap-out at home too. It was a beeeeotch to get that crank pulley bolt off! I actually followed the instructions provided by U/R with the pulleys and removed the radiator fan (which also required removing the bottom hose to the radiator.... VERY messy). With the fan off you have A LOT more room to get at things. I actually don't see how you could do the install with the fan there.
I didn't really notice any difference in sound or performance, but they sure do look nice. Maybe a real dyno would show an increase, but the butt-dyno registered a "0".

Heh, yeah, I didn't remove the fan. It was crazy, I am glad I had some short 12mm wrenches for the two underside tensioner bolts. I had to pull contortionist moves to reach them, and then I'd turn until I got tired of turning, and chat with my new friend for a while. I honestly don't know how I did it either

There is zero noise change from inside, outside, or in the engine bay.
I would NOT pay $80 for someone else to do it, even if I had the $80 to spend... being brokeass college student does have its disadvantaged. Then again, it IS friday night, so there are advantages too

As for my slight squeeling when I made a uturn, any ideas on that? Do I need to tighten/loosen either belt, and if so, which one? Thanks.

Out of the 3 mods, the plenum is really the only one that I immediately "felt" a difference with. The cats make a nice sound, but I don't notice any performance gain (although that's not to say one doesn't exist).
It's possible that since I installed all 3 within a short period of time, I am feeling the effects (gains) of all 3 combined rather than individually? The pulleys sure look nice though!! I just wish I could figure out a way to swap out the alternator pulley. I only got the crank and the other one installed.
