Sport Compacts NISMO write up
At the MINIMUM, they could have used realistic pricing and not list. They could have gone down the list at performance nissan. They could have also not advertised the price of non power adding products into the equation. Just little things like this really skew the results and perception of the readers. SCC knows their readers are not very car savvy and that is why they read that fluff. It's entertaining, right? Don't think I am making a stand for NISMO. The only power adding part I have by NISMO is the catback exhaust. There is a reason for that and I didn't even read SCC.

The guys at Polk Performance use 18% as drivetrain loss on the dynojet they use, who really knows what to use. I know that the butt dyno feels a big difference.

If the Maxima is rated at 255 (crank/factory), and dyno'd 210 at the wheels, I personally don't think that's overstating the HP at all. Factoring in a 17% drivetrain loss, which is definitely not out the question for a car, 210/0.83 = 253 -- pretty darn close in my book.
