How much oil are you losing between oil changes?

You are losing too much oil. Look up my posts on this issue. I was losing about 2 to 3 quarts and this was at the 3000 mile mark. Long story short, Nissan just replaced my engine with a brand new one. There are 2 other people that have had similar oil consumption problems and had their engines replaced. HFM is one (we both had our engines replaced at Torrance Nissan) and I forgot the name of the other.
It was actually pretty easy to get the engine replaced. The dealer recognized that my oil consumption was high and called Nissan North America because they couldn't find any signs of oil leakage when inspecting my car. The Nissan engineers didn't hesitate at all to tell the dealer to yank my engine out and send it back to Nissan headquarters.
I did actually go through the BBB to ***** and try to get a new car but that's a different story.
By the way, there were never any obvious signs that my car was losing oil. No leaking from underneath, no burning of oil in the exhaust, but the oil level was definitely dropping fast.
I would take it to the dealer ASAP and have them start monitoring the car for oil consumption so you can get a new motor (if that's what your car needs).
Good luck. PM me with any questions.

To get an answer on this question, I asked my father (long time mechanic). He said it is normal to burn half a quart to a full quart in between changes (2500-3500 miles)
I didnt stop there
1 I called Sheridan nissan and spoke to Jeff in the service dept.
He said " half a quart to 1 quart every 2500-3k is normal.
2 I called Porter Nissan and spoke with Amanda (who asked a tech). Their answer was "half a quart is normal, if it increases then bring it in."
3 I callled Performance Nissan in CA and spoke with Dan in their service dept. His answer "losing half a quart is not abnormal"
4 I called Ganwood Nissan (think thats the name) and spoke with their service dept. They to said it was normal.
So there you have it. It is normal to burn half to 1 full quart every oil change.

It has also been said that you burn a bit more oil in the first few thousand miles.
