Default mixing up mod brands

is it ok to mix up the brands of certain mods in the z. for example is it ok to have nismo exhaust with r/t cats and then have like borla headers and injen intake. i want nismo header but a little too expensive so i was thinking of maybe crawford or borla. opinions would be greatly apprecited. and how much are the crawford headers thnx

Some people believe that you should stick with the same aftermarket company as much as possible because the parts are designed to work with each other. I like this idea and I would like to stay with one company if possible. I used to have a 5.0 mustang and it was easy to stay with one or two aftermarket company's for all of the parts I wanted. The truth with the 350Z is that one aftermarket part company may not suit your needs. I think the only place it really matters is in your head. If you gain peace of mind staying with one company than that is the best thing for you. But if you do not care about this, I see no problem and have heard of no problems coming up from mixing mod brands.

So far I have chosen the parts that best fit my needs. And none of them share the same namebrand.

With exhaust systems, no problem; as I have Nismo headers, Fujitsubo Y-pipe , Power Enterprise Metal Catalytic Converter & Super Sonic EX Exhaust system.

The only consideration would be how it sounds, as different combinations can cause variations in exhaust sound; and the other would be that the dimension of pipes need to be the same. An, example the dimensions of the stock Y-pipes is smaller than the PE exhaust system.

Best
