Default Technosquare ECU reflash

How true is it in adjusting the fuel thing? How is a stock car improved other than speed limit removed and rev limiter raised?

I really dont feel like asking this (i have been holding up for a few days now ) cause i bet it has been beaten to death! Somebody fix the search function pls...

I am not sure what you are asking. Down low I saw a 3-7 HP / TQ jump up high I saw a 2-5 HP jump. In the middle not much maybe 1-2 hp, but that is negligible when comparing runs. No speed limiter and rev limiter set to 7200. Also with the fuel, throttle, and timing tweaks I am running 12.8 A/F instead of 13.3 A/F and still making power. This was a nice feat, as it seems any time the A/F went below 13, we lost HP. Now it is tweaked just right, as we are keeping the A/F where we want it and the HP does not suffer.

Is it worth the money? Is that your question? It is in my opinion. Now everyone who orders a TS ECU gets to benefit from all the R&D that has been done through our multiple flashes and tweaks. Between the work we did and the work TS did, it is a nice package.

I got 4 rwhp up top and 7 lbs tq....Mid range I got 7rwhp and 9lb tq . A/F drops down at WOT to 12.5 to 12.8 to1 . If I knew I was getting the Supercharger this soon I wouldnt have done it , because I had to send it back and have them reset to stock except the rev , speed limter and throttle body . I sure could tell the diff though

i guess i was asking for inputs from users who had it done and wondering if they feel any difference when accelerating all the way to redline since they claim that stock ECU will cut off acceleration with the stock A/F map.

I think the biggest improvement is the throttle tip in and response. This makes the car so much more fun to drive around town. You will feel the low end response immediately, at least I did. Having some room up top to shift is nice as well. They have been able to tweak their maps (A/F and timing) pretty good. Of course getting the car on a dyno with A/F mapping is going to help get it tuned properly and TS is great to deal with if you need to send it back for updating/changing. Speed limiter is no big deal for most. I would do it again and may have to with some cams going in this week. Hopefully will get the car on a dyno to see if the A/F and timing are where they need to be. I would just make sure you are where you want to be with mods because it can cost some $$ to send it back and forth for updates and shipping.

Well, I'm almost there with mods. Just finishing off the exhaust with a Borla.

Not going to do headers because I'm going to be getting a TT, but not for at least a year or more....

How much does it cost to send back for upgrades??? At $595 it's not exactly cheap either. I hope I like it!

I wonder if they have a setup for crawford plenum, test pipes, exhaust...pullies and JWT....stock headers.

Can't imagine that's the most popular setup.

Doesn't the TS flash also fix the Throttle so it opens to 100% rather than only 85%?

I have the Technosquare reflash. Recently, I got a datalogger for tuning purposes and I was quite suprised to find that the throttle does not open past 85 percent. That was one of the selling points of the reflash when I bought it. Not sure what to make of that. I'm still very pleased with it. It just would have been nice to take care of that.

Yes, the reflash does take care of the throttle opening issue, plus they add fuel and adjust timing accordingly with the mods that you have and the fact that the throttle now opens 100%. The only issue is that not all cars are the same so you may need some minor tweaking after you get their base map for your mods, or if you add another mod that may affect the A/F mixture. If you make changes in mods and need the ECU remapped they charge a fee (~$150 I believe) to have it done.

True! I ordered the Borla this morning myself and I got the primary motivation to do so after reading Your exhaust thread you started a few days ago

You'll Love the TS flash..(never heard a negative comment on it, actually I have, ALL of which coming from people who do Not have it )...Im just waiting Patiently for the 04.5 Flash to become available.
