Default 10-22HP for $30!!

O man.. this is a good one. I was browsing around ebay and I stumbled upon this..

BEHOLD..... THE Intimidator II CHIP!!
EBAY ITEM LINK

If for some reason if that don't work see item number 2474684190 on EBAY

This fool is claiming 10-22 HP and more then a few said it was just a plastic box with a 0 Ohm resistor in it.. They even have a bogus dyno chart!!

The funnist thing is the picture on the bottom of the office building with "Intimidator II Productions Inc" photoshopped to look like its a sign on the building.

How do people get away with this?

Dude, that's awesome. I especially like the fact that it's designed for the "1988-2004 Nissan 350Z 350 Z"

Wow. I didn't realize they were making VQ35's back then. Who knew?!

Default Tornado

Slightly different subject but anyway, I stopped by my local pepboys last Saturday to pick up some stuff and noticed that they had a returned Tornado "system" laying by the register. So asked a few of the cashier's if they ever heard of that thing actually working and all of them replied with a strong "oh yeah". They where so convinced that this thing works that for a moment there I became a bit skeptical.

There a sucker born every day..

I remember back in the day when they had the tornado informericals how they did a before and after dyno with a Chevy Tahoe and it showed a gain of like 25HP and they estimated a mpg increase of over 3-5mpg... If this thing actually worked there would of been such a buzz about it that every car not owned by an old fart would of had one in it.

Wow, no one noticed that they spelled INTIMIDATOR wrong!!!!!!

They spell it "intimadator" on both their shop, and the module. That's hilarious. These guys are the most retarded crooks I have ever seen.

actually... the dyno might be legit, as may the gains.

hooks into the MAF, notice the dyno shows a much leaner A/F ratio. it just changes the MAF reading to make it give less gas, more power. bad for your engine, but what does he care?

I doubt the resistor is 0ohm(could be, I donno how the MAF works), but it is probably just a resistor to make it think theres less air than there is.

There's no such thing as a 0 ohm resistor. even a copper wire has some resistance, (above 0 kelvin) so this thing does nothing.

Our MAF works by heating a metal foil to a constant temperature using a high resistance wire. Air passing past the MAF cools the foil, and more current is needed through the heating coil to keep the foil temp. constant. The voltage drop across that coil is what is measured by the ECU.

Adding a resistor to the circuit would change the airflow interpreted by the ECU, but would dangerously lean out the A/F mixture like you suggest. Kids, don't try this at home......
