Question Crawford v.5, strut bar, engine cover?

Does anyone know if there is a (non-crawford) strutbar on the market that would allow me to intall the Crawford v.5 Plenum and still keep my engine cover?

The v5 will not fit under the stock engine cover.

Unless you cut it. Both the "G" and the "Z" engine covers will fit , if cut.

I believe that he is referring to the engine cover.

No, I actually meant strut bar. I was assuming he was going to put one back on eventually.

Doesn't look like a Z to me...the G's don't come with strut bars

I learn something new every day.

So those of you with a v.5, anyone using a strutbar other than crawford?

I believe the Crawford strut bar is the ONLY strut bar that will work with the Crawford plenum. It has the flange design that moves the bar forward to clear the front of the plenum. It is a very nice piece.

i'm sure there has been plenty of conversation on this before, but since we're talking about it, what kind of performance gains are you guys getting from the crawford plenum?

engine cover = bad. Why hide the engine, it's a beautiful piece of machinery. You should show it off.

By the way, randy, that's a gorgeous 240. whenver i get out on the road and see the old school Z cars and how well they've endured, it make me glad i bought one and reinforces my resolve to keep it for a long time.

Thanks! 242,000 miles and going strong. 34 years and that kind of longevity on the original engine. Hope the 350s can duplicate that.
