hehehehehe....

not considered anything yet that I know of ... just a NISSAN MOTOR SPORTS product which is actually a seperate entity from NISMO...

I am not sure if it says NISMO on it... I havent had them here long enough to look... but I do not remember seeing NISMO on it...

Nismo does not make the kit, my guess is that it is the Nissan-Japan (motorsports) grounding kit for the Z33. Does it come in the typical grey/white Nissan box?

I picked one up in Japan over a year ago, it is top notch and very well made. The one I got was for a JDM Z33 with the battery on the opposite side, and Japanese instructions. Needless to say it still worked with no issues.

brought in from Japan...

the Tanabe and Injen exhaust's are both great...

if you are going to go forced induction Tanabe would be better... if you were to stay NA the INJEN is terrific!

installed my kit today and just took it for a test drive.

i now understand what the hype about grounding wires is all about. first off, i must say that this kit is beautiful. the quality is excellent. the installation is very clean, for some, maybe a little too clean. the intake cover hides most of it. personally, i like its subtle look. actually, i am going to see if i can hide a couple of the wires a little bit more.

i didnt notice any change in my idle. however, the throttle response is definately quicker. my butt dyno says that there is more power. it is much more enjoyable to drive.

psychological gains? i dont think so. i actually jolted the car a bit when i was driving slow because i wasnt used to the throttle yet. i would definately recommend this kit. if anyone wants specific pics, let me know.

a few pics:
you can barely see the wires because they are all under the cover.

i read instructions for one of the competitor's grounding wires and it said to drill a hole in the rubber.... (not sure why they said that)

the nissan instructions werent quite clear regarding this issue, but i just stuck it in the same hole as one of the existing rubbers. no new hole drilled.

last one for now:
you can barely see the two wires on the left side of the engine bay. one on the plenum by the throttle body and one by the pop charger.

I have a K&N filter and retained the factory airbox. I was not sure how good the ground is on the cable that runs to the left side at the airbox mount. Any opinions? Otherwise, the kit is great. Initially, I did not notice any improvement. Once revved past 4K the engine was noticeablely smoother. Now that the ECU has learned the car idles smoother and throttle response is better. I am not saying I have more horse power, but the car reacts better to my input.

I have not yet personally installed one of the NISMO kits yet so I am not as familar with the grounding points as I should be...

This will change when Iget my car back... or if jeff lets me install it on his car...

here is a pic of my engine bay after i re-arranged the wires a bit. i have my intake cover off to show the wires better.
the pic is a bit dark, but i really love the way the wires hug the edges. no excessive, unnecessary slack.

btw, the nismo oil and radiator caps, the pop charger, and the grounding wires were all from performance. great people, great prices, great service.
