Question transmission strength?

does anyone know how much hp and tq the stock transmission can hold before an upgrade is necessary, and what would you do to strengthen the transmission? i know the clutch needs to be upgraded. any ideas or input on trans?

There is no data or real world test on this. There are two questions here. What can the tranny/clutch handle at peak. And what can it handle for max reliability.

Clutch is the easy part to upgrade to handle 600whp and beyond. The tranny strength is anyone's guess..........

Skidazzle, from what I've been told, drives the living tar out of his car at 10psi and 450whp, and his tranny is holding up fine. I think he has gone threw a pallet of clutches though...ha! I think he buys them by the dozen.
