You're not going to see much change in temperature at all. These hoses will be much more resistant to wear and tear and they will look better. Don't buy them expecting a performance increase though.

Default Samco...........

No performance or cooling benefits...........the main benefit is a great-looking, thicker-walled, long-lasting, high quality silicone hose. If you get them, you might also want to invest in some slightly larger diameter SS hose clamps since the OD of the hoses is slightly larger that the stock hoses. I did the Pi-Thon compression clamps with the Samco's & was a real BIOTCH to get the clamps over the hoses and then on the engine fittings (Pi-Thon's were designed to go on the stock hoses - took 4 hours to mount 2 of the Samco's with the Pi-Thons due to the larger OD). As I recommended on a post before, either go with the beautiful Samco hoses & SS clamps....or with the Pi-Thon fittings on the stock hoses (A little silicone spray on the stock hoses really shines them up).

Here's a small pic of the black Samco's w/Pi-Thon fitting........

thanks for the comments...kinda makes me think whether i should even do them or not...considering it took you ^ 4 hours to do 2! thats nuts...i wonder how long it would take if you had the better clamps....also what else did you have to do drain yer coolant then just start taking them off? thanks

You should also know that Pi-thon now lists a larger clamp under their kits specifically for larger samco hoses.

Default Cool.........

Yes, Pi-Thon now has a listing for an increased size for their clamp on the upper radiator hose - didn't have that when I ordered the kit several months ago. Still, they need an oversized clamp for both ends of the heater hose to complete the kit for the Samco hoses. I sent them an e-mail after installing mine - hopefully, the new size for the heater hose will appear soon.

zectasy - don't freak out...it took 4 hrs. on the 2 Samco hoses WITH the Pi-Thon fittings due to wrestling with the larger OD on the hoses. If you use regular hose clamps, the Samco hoses take about 1-2 hours to install - easy stuff!

when i installed my nismo radiator cap i notice the little rubber line that goes across the top of the radiator to the reserve tank had popped out of the reserve tank and the green liquid had spilled everywhere. The dealer reconnected it and i guess they made it never do that again. But yeah i guess if you have a high ressure radiator cap to take advantage of those stong silicone hoses that are rated for high pressure that would be petter. High pressure takes the boiling point lower because the molecules have to overcome more pressure to be able to steam or "break free and steam" this does have an efffect on cooling so if you already have the hoses i recoment that you get the nismo cap, besides it also looks just as COOOL and the hoses haha. and the dealer will never bring it up as a contributing factor to any engine damage becaseu they sell it as an authorized s -tune part and the factory warrantee stand behind it. i even bought mine from the dealer. But if i had a greddy they might have blamed the cap for the popping of the hose. Catch my drifffff? anyways peace
