It sounds like one of those resistors that connects to your MAF and tricks it into thinking that the air is colder than it is.
IT'ALL BS!!
A real CAI draws in "dense cold air". This thing make the MAF think that the "warm air" it draws in is cold air. Even if it did work, let's get serious. A real CAI make about 6whp, if even that. This thing is claiming 23hp!! Yeah, right.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
If you really need to get one, you can buy a resistor at your local electronic shop for less than a dollar.

If I'm not mistaken, it's just a black box with some wires and resistors packaged inside. Packaged so that your average person wouldn't open it up to realize that they just got RIPPED OFF big time. With 11 posts, is this guy trying to promote this junk??

BUY IT, IT WORKS!!!
just trick the engine into thinking the airs nice and hot, so less dense, means it should shoot less fuel, since there is more air than it thinks, you got yourself a nice lean mix. perfect for some extra ponies!
amazing how the engineers of cars ALL over the world (this works on every car it says?) havent discovered this miracle box. stupid engineers.
*disclaimer, dont come back asking why your engine makes funny noises and wont start. thats not part of the package.

Ares hit it on the head. If there was a cheap/easy/small/light mod that would give more HP or more mileage and do no harm why would the engineers ignore it?
This is a good question to ask yourself whenever you see a miracle mod like this. You can sniff out 99% of the BS products with that simple thought experiment.

If you install the Tornado Fuel Saver with the Z1 Performance Module you can reclaim the extra fuel that the module uses because of running rich. Plus you get an added benefit of 10% more horses from the Tornado. It's an unbeatable combination!

This type of effect is used for runs down the track and such, but not recommended for every day driving. You need to run premium gas (we have to anyway) to keep the engine from pinging and knocking, but it does work. I used to own and be an involved member of a forum for the Ford ZX2 (sounds stupid, I know). Anyway, we put this type of mod on a bone stock car, used premium gas and saw an increase of around 18hp at the wheels in certain ranges of the powerband. Again, not something I'd do to your daily driver, and yes the dealer will give you hell about it as it messes with intake air temp sensors and electronic coolant temp sensors to maximize its effect. Sorry for rambling, but just thought I'd let you know these things do work, even if minimally, and can still be used safely if you know when and where to use it (not something I'd be sporting on my $30,000 car though).
Side note- that painted rotors thing, along with the guy who installed his nitrous by punching a hole in his gas tank for the nitrous feed was a big joke.. follow certain links in his sig and posts and it links to other pages where it's clearly something he did to get attention.
