Default Question about LSD swap......

I'm about to do LSD swap, I have the R200V-LSD, now what else do I need for the swap. For those who put NISMO or others, could you please state what was in the box, so I know what other parts I need to buy.

thanks in advance.

I would like more info on this also... I have a G coupe w/o the LSD option and I'm looking for some options... were you not happy with the coupe's stock LSD? which LSD are you going to go with now? why?

If you have non-lsd equipped car then you will need :

1. new LSD
2. Left and right 350Z lsd equipped stub axles
3. Left and right inner bearings ( have to be pressed onto new LSD)
4. Possibly 2 new axle seals if you damage yours ( I didn't have to replace mine)

For swapping into a viscous LSD equipped car you will need:

1. new LSD
2. left and right inner bearings
3. 2 axle seals

I had the KAAZ 2 way lsd in my car and sold it. I will buy a Quaife when they are released. The clutch type was way to noisy for my liking......but a hella lot o fun

The Nismo LSD comes with everything you have to have to do a LSD conversion from a open diff. If you already have a oem VLS then you'll have some parts left over.

You get

Nismo clutch type LSD
2 stub axle's (required for open diff conversion's)
2 LSD bearing assemblies (required for open diff conversion's)
2 LSD bearing seals
Diff oil

I did a oem VLS swap, even though I got the VLS core for only $100, the required parts added up.
VLS core $100
LSD stub axles $300
LSD bearings and seals $100

$500 in parts, for only $450 more I could have gotten the Nismo LSD. The oem VLS in not very effective at all, I really feel that I totally wasted my money on the conversion. Install will run about $400 either way, it is NOT a DIY item at all.
