I purchased mine from Performance Nissan and they stand behind everything they sell. IMO they are one of the best vendors we have for the

true... but not after only 600 miles....

the OEM cats have more than 16k miles on them and have been to 6 HPDEs (about 2000 miles on the track) with no problems... the RT cats didn't even make it through a whole weekend at the track...

RT did eventually send me two new cats, but they told me they would not cover the second set under warranty if something happened to them. I was not willing to take my chances... in the months since mine failed there had been at least three other failures reported on this forum. That's too much money to flush... $500 is a lot of money, half a set of track tires....

I do agree thet Performance Nissan is one of the best vendors here. They do stand behind their sales and they did what they could to help me out.

Cheers,

PeteH

Not yet- happened on Friday. Will be running Laguna Seca tomorrow, so I'll call them on Tuesday and see what they say.

Not sure what the problem is but RT's seem to be the only cats experiencing troubles. I have yet to hear of similar problems with the stock cats, Crawfords or UR cats. Hoping RT will step up but I've heard a few stories similar to Audito's. So far it seems RT is unwilling to stand behind their product. It seems would rather blame their customers then address the issues with their product, which is sad.

man and these were expensive high flows too 500 bucks is a lot. i am so glad that i dont use cats anymore. seriously though guys this is a load of bs they are feeding you, if they dont warrantee them. a cat should last about 50k miles, 10k it should still be like new.

Hey Jason,
hollow them out, take the cat pieces to a jeweler and have them make it in to a ring/bracelet/ or whatever the wife likes
assumming the the cat material is platinum.

this way you have a straight pipe & the wifey will aprove future Z part purchase

all jokes aside, hope RT stand behind their product.

I did... the guy was acting like i called him a theif. =\

He finished the conversation by telling me that unless his people could confirm that the problem was caused by the cats, i wouldn't get another set. (money was out of the question)

I find this to be quite rediculous since they obviously would not have shipped something that they already approved so there is basically no way believe they would find a problem this time.

There's a bit of a conflict of interests there.

nah i didn't... hehe

I was really polite to the guy, and he was polite as well, but he seemed to take my claims very personally. That was a little annoying but nothing more.

Actually there is a third option... KINETIX Cats.

I've had mine on for over 5000 miles now without ANY problems
