my review of the borla true dual
ok i backed it on the ramps and started from the back..i had it completly installed doing it myself in an hour and 15 minutes
not to fond of all the clamps but right now i have no leaks
i cant believe it doesnt come with gaskets...since installing the gaskets i have discovered what the notorious buzzing sound is...
the gaskets are several peices of metal and smaller than the opening of the exhaust the exhaust blows by it and vibrates the peices...
now as for performance?
all i can say is wow! i feel a huge differance
now for my dislikes
sound
i have xerd race pipes and this thing is still quiet
probobly gonna cut out the resonators tomorrow and see what i think
over all install i would say a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10....if you have a lift a 3

im also thinking of removing my resonators, please let me know how it goes if you do remove them. i only found one other member here that had removed them & recommended not to if highflow cats/testpipes were installed. claims it was too loud! i believe since i have the kinetix resonated testpipes it may not be too bad. i dont want it obnoxiosly loud but i would prefer a meaner sounding note.............post back here if you do remove them.

I've had the Borla TD on for 7k miles. The resonators do get a little louder after ou burn them in. SO the initial sound deos change somewhat.

resonator removal
IMO
The risk you have removing the resonators , and replaceing with straight pipes is a "rasp" at highway cruise.
Removing the rear muffler (resonators only) will probably "drone"
at highway cruise.
Personally I like an exhaust which opens up at WOT , but does not drone or rasp under nroaml driving. A deeper idle is also welcome.
The default Borla with factory CATs is pretty rasp and drone free
in the majority of the typical driving band. Except for a slight drone below ~1.8k and rasp above ~5.5k.

no rattle....i am thinking about pulling the muffler first....if i like the sound then ill ad nice tip and be done with it...if i dont like the sound ill then pull the resonators and keep the muffler
if i still dont like the sound then the resonators and muffler and go with 2 canisters like the hks carbon canisters
