Default Exedy clutch and flywheel

hey,
I was recently told that the stock clutch was made my exedy. Is this true? If so, how is their quality compared to others such as JWT, in particular their lightened flywheel and clutch?

thanx

No way!!!

I've seen the stock clutch and flywheel and the Exedy and there is no way that they are made by the same company. The stock clutch is just a stamped metal housing whereas the Exedy is made from high quality billet.

Unless Exedy makes a really low end clutch for Nissan but I can't see it

Exedy is owned by Daiken.....Combined those firms are far and away the largest OEM clutch suppleir to the Japanese automakers in the world.

I cannot say how it compared to JWT, as you are comparing a stock clutch to an aftermarket one...I know on the flywheel, JWT = Fidanza. Not sure who makes their clutches though

Exedy also only offers a clutch that comes integrated with a flywheel, whereas JWT (like the stock one) uses a seperate clutch/flywheel

Thanks for the responses.

What is the benefit of having an integrated flywheel/clutch? i look at it as a disadvantage because if one goes, you have to replace both.

clarification:

I meant to compare JWT flywheel/clutch to Exedy aftermarket flywheel/clutch.
