Mine came in the mail today. I was curious how long it has taken others to do the install. I need to know if i can get it done tonight or should i wait till the weekend?
do u have a lift? or jacks? if u have neither wait till u have time to raise the car. it took me n my friend 30 mins at my shop with a lift.
the initial feeling was, "oh my god". the gears are now even closer than what they were before and reverse is very close to sixth gear now.
good luck installing and let me know if u need anything.
p.s. the hardest part of actually performing this mod was, filing away part of the craddle the shifter sits in.

be careful. one thing i learn when i started working where i work now is that simple hand tools work the best. the dremel may be too much as u only need to shave away .125 of an inch. a dremel might be overkill so just watch out.
now when did u get ur Z?

does the B&M get rid of the notchy gates? does it go into the gates smoothly? I don't really like the notchiness of the stock shifter, and I believe that little delay of notchiness causes my sychro to grind sometimes..
bottom line, how does it feel?

I have not installed one, or even ordered yet. But I am 90% ready to get it. Toykilla's review is all I am waiting for. Josh (I think) is usually pretty informative and opinionated in his reviews of stuff, so I am looking forward to his results once installed.
I just read the Rouge installation PDF .... all I would like to see is the difference in shifter position once installed ... I know on my rommates Cobra it totally changed it (he had a steeda tri-ax) and my other roomates mustang (B+M ripper) looked normal
so if anyone has pre-and-post-install pics I would greatly apprecuite it
thanks

the new shifter has no play what-so-ever and every gear is extremely close to the next. it honestly feels like a shorter throw than what my s2000 feels like.

going into second, when at the redline in first, is significantly harder than stock. in fact i began shifting and grinding because notchiness made it more difficult to shift into second fast enough, and causaes me to let out the clutch to soon.
ill keep people posted on the results of the addition of the royal gear lube.

More notchiness and less consistency= smoked!

the notchiness is totall noticeable and takes some time to get used to. me a week it took. now that i know how to shift with the shifter in, my consistency is better with this shifter than the OEM one.
maybe you should feel the difference, youll understand.

Sounds like Rogue Engineering is better?.... (I have felt the RE shifter before, and it is a smooth one click shifting... no notchiness, just one click..)
