Question "Z1 performance module" on ebay

Has anyone used this resistor for sale on ebay for $26? They claim 13-26 hp increase. Feedback says you can get it at Radioshack for $.20. Some say it works, others say it is shift.

Dont do it. You have a better chance of healing the common cold with snake oil than putting that on your car.

FYI - this has NOTHING to do with us. I ahev asked E bay about makign them change the name repeated times....they have told me to stand on my ear. I even wrote the company a few times to ask if they could change the name a bit so it was not a direct copy of our name...they gave me the equivalent of the internet middle finger

Adam, if Z-1 Performance is a registered trademark then you could legally force these "performance module" scammers to change their name/pay you damages. You probably already knew that though...

what that "module" is, is a 7.8k Ohm resistor that is stuck in the air temperature sensor electrical node. It makes the car read it as intake air temperatures as constantly 23 degrees F. It adds more fuel due to "higher" oxygen content of colder air (true to an extent), and your A/F ratio drops. Not a good way to modify your car, since you will probably net loss horsepower on a Z.

it should go opposite, reading less air, less gas, lean gets more power, but hurts the engine.
