Just hit 1200 mi and put in the Royal Purple 5W-30. It feels like it revs to redline
much easier and a little stronger. Am not usually susceptible to placebo effect. Is this possible, scientifically? Thanks.

Be sure to do UOAs on it. Ive noticed w/ RP normal blends that wear numbers (copper, lead, and iron) are noticably higher than a comperable M1 0w-20
Check it out at www.bobistheoilguy.com and go to Used Oil Analysis

Royal Purple website states that you should wait until at least 2000 miles before switching to RP, or until your first oil change interval. Not trying to be a critic, but I know several others on this website are asking time after time when they should switch to synthetic. BTW, I am glad to here that you are having great luck with RP, I am thinking of switching out my engine, tranny and gear oil with RP soon.
I would have stayed with dino till at least 7500 miles. VQ seems to like it that way. See http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/
