Default the basic stage 1 nessessities??

ok i'm finally giving in and picking up a 350z, prob a 03 used. my question is modding wise for the engine, what are my "you gotta have it" parts to start off with.

i was thinking i def have to get the jwt popcharger,

exhaust- i'm looking for something not too loud but also not with the angled outlets. maybe stillen dunno, what do you guys recommend for that? also price?

grounding kit is pretty new to me, not sure what that does exactly, and which to go with?

ECU upgrade- is this possible with this car and if it is, do they have portable handheld units that can do this or would i need to take it to a shop that has it?

NOS- i'm actually getting this just cause i always wanted a hot purge kit and never had a car i could put it on.

anything else i'm missing? again this is just for me to start off with so anything less actual nternals or FI. just your basic bolt ons

also with just those bolt ons what types of gains am i looking for this car?

haha hey man. good to see an e46er over here. i remember when u started to part ur car out..

anyway..
exhaust: angeled tips, not too loud, so something.. something similar to a remus of a e46? i'd probably go with borla in that case. however i hate the way it looks. (looks stock, just bigger).
ground: maxground.com is where i would go.
ecu: 03 ecu is out. technosquare ecu reflash. think you have to send your ECU in. not avail for 04
nos: people run 75-150 h ere on stock internals. but this is also with timing corrections, colder plugs, etc. i think nitrous express makes the best kit.

er.. don't forget ur basic bolts on too.. some i would recommend are the:
1. jwt popcharger
2. crawford/kinetix/ultimateracing/RT high flow cats
3. crawford/kinetix intake plenum (upper intake manifold)

I think the Stillen exhaust would be a wise choice for you. Good quality, Great power gains, Not too loud.

wuuuzup, yeah i decided its time to have a fun car to drive as a 2nd and the Z poppin right into my head, now its time to make it more fun. i'm in process right now with someone local to me for a 03 touring fully loaded except nav and DB for 26k. I think i'm going to start off with the vertex kit, dunno bout which wheels to get, and the jwt popcharger, NOS, and prob the stillen exhaust from what i've been told. BTW the ECU needs to be sent out? there nothing out there like the shark where its a portable unit you plug in??
