Default Performance upgrades for the Z

I have owned my Z for about 8 weeks now and am starting to think about upgrades for my pride and joy.I want to keep the car usable for everyday purposes. This means no blow youre head off exhausts. If i am looking for an extra 20-25bhp/torque what is the safest route to take.Obviously Exhaust/headers but by who?I hear a lot of good things about crawford on this site but i live in the uk and cant find anyone who sells/fits these products. My only option is Nismo products through nissan but general theme seems to be the nismo products are not that effective, people on this site seem to prefer other options.I really really dont want to have a headache everytime i get into the car.I just want to enhance whats already there.Quiet/discreet/usable

well... I'm sure Doug at Crawford would happily ship his products to the UK.... about the only thing you'd need a shop for is to install the headers.

Also, 20-25 bhp increase is very an ambitious expectation... with intake, plenum, headers, cat-pipe or hi-flow cats and an exhaust you should realistically expect a 10hp increase. Add camshafts and an ECU reflash end then you close in on the 20hp increase.

You can do NISMO headers, NISMO cams, Crawford plenum, Crawford hi-flow cats and NISMO exhaust and you may come close to 20 hp increase. And, the car will still be docile enough for daily driving.

Want more??? Then you should consider supercharger or turbochargers.... but then you endanger reliability.
