I just had my ECU reflashed with the "Limited" spec flash. All I had them do was raise the rev limiter, speed limiter, and fix the throttle. Could the reflash have erased the timing advance that I had my local Nissan service department adjust with the Consult II? The reason I asked is I lost about 5 to 6 HP from my dyno last week compared to today's (after the flash). I did not think about it while I was at the dyno, but the tuner said that I definitely lost a little bit of power.

My guess is that they reflah with a new program and probably with stock timing, just have them hook up the concult and check, are they charging you for that? ittakes like 5 minutes.

not really sure on your original question. But keep in mind that dynos can vary widely...even on the same day...same dyno. So plus or minus 5whp is probably just sampling error.

That's what I was going to say (sampling error).

While it may only take 5 minutes to "hook it up" to the Consult II, I have been told that it take MUCH longer to actually "download" the program onto the ECU.

You don't have to download the entire program, they simply have to go to the screen that has the timing advance and raise it or lower it +-5 degrees, that is it. It only takes 5 minutes at the most.
