What clicking noise?

Are you reffering to the nosie the LSD makes?
Thats just the LSD doing its job on a clutch type diff.
The Nismo LSD from what I have driven on is the best street and track LSD.

After much more driving today, I can report that I lost about 3 miles per gallon on the highway and 5 in the city.

Went to the drag strip today, but only got 1 run in 3-1/2 hours so I went home. I'll shoot for next weekend.

The more I drive it, the more I like it. The car just feels a lot stronger. A good way to describe it (at least for people who have cold weather), is you know how hard your car pulls when its about 35-45 degrees outside. That's how it pulls all the time. When it gets up to around 4k, redline is imminent.

Perhaps your fuel economy took a poop because you've been flogging the car with your new found flex in the powerband...

LOL!! This modification will make you grin! . Throttle oversteer with 295's is fun!

I have no doubt the loss of city miles had to do with flogging, but the highway was a 40 min. drive with cruise control on.

The rear housing is an ok swap...need some muscle to lift it in and out...the final drive assembly itself is recommended to those with driveline assembly exp.

How difficult would it be for a novice to install the preassembled dif. that 350evo sells w/ the nismo lsd and the 3.9 already installed in it?

They had my differential out in about an 1-1/2. Disconnect the axles and driveshaft from the housing and unbolt the housing from the frame. It would be a PITA without a lift, but its doable.

No effect on speedo. Sensors are after the gears. They didn't believe me at the shop that did the install. So they checked it with their radar gun.

I am looking forward to seeing ya'll who have put the 3.9 in at Blackhawk. I am having mine installed this week with a NISMO LSD. I can't wait to get her back. Yee HA! I do a lot of track days and I am really looking for this mod. I just love the look of Porsche owners as I blast around them!

ZippyCar - I can't wait to see your car!

Look for part 2 soon. I'm heading to Union Grove Dragaway tomorrow for the 1/4 mile test.

Thumbs up I just have to post this...

350evo.com 3.9 final drive

one word..."WOW"

more then one word...."oh my freakin' god yeah!!"

Just drove BJs Z with the 3.9 and can't believe the difference! I would agree with BJ that this is the final drive that should have been in the track model....Nissan if you're listening....put this bad boy in ALL Track Zs cause it deserves it!

Z enthusiasts and track guys & gals...this is a must have!!

Drive on!

Hey Jason, if you see BJ today, could you harass him for me about finishing my rear end assembly?
