Default Fitting a crank pulley... should it be this hard?

I am putting on the UR crank pulley on my Z. I need a special tool to remove the factory unit, but have also had to remove the radiator, and some parts of the A/C compressor system. Have others had to do this or am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated!

Regards,
Dave

WHAT?????? You might as well pull the engine, rebuild it and install your neighborhood APS TT because you appear to be half way there! The crank pulley should take no longer than 30 min to install, and that includes jacking the car up. You need two people to make the install easy. Carefully read the instructions and then go try it again.

I did it myself in less than 30 minutes.

All you need is:
A 1/2 drive socket and the socket (21mm??)
Jack the front of the car
Have a friend apply the brakes, hard, or use a 2X4 to keep the brakes applied jammed with the seat.
Use the wrench with a pry bar, I used an old hockey stick

And that is it, the only reason you need to remove the radiator is if you want to use an air gun, that is what teh dealer wanted to do.

If you have already removed the radiator , you can use an impact wrench to remove the crank pulley bolt. That said, you really don't need to remove the radiator to get the pulley off, just a >18" breaker bar and a good 6 point socket (takes some serious elbow grease to break loose (longer handle is your friend here).
