Default Tomei 268 Cam Cookbook

For those members who have these cams. What other internal components are needed since these are aggresive.

Nothing....they work with stock springs. I do recommend upgrading the springs though.

They typically do require different buckets during the installation. The real problem is that you do not know which ones you will need so you have to wait and do it during the install which increases the length of the install unless your installer has multiple bucket sizes inhouse. This was the reason I did not go with Tomei cams. I simply could not be on "Vacation" for that long to get cams installed. Unfortunately, no one near where I live would do the install either so I drove to TN and had Crawford install them with a polished front engine cover

I went with JWT cams also. I feel the cam install was easier then than the crawford headers install lol. But the headers were well worth it. Both installs took 14 hours each.

Thanks Glen

I have them, and it is very easy to reshim (bucket) the cams. I also upgraded and did the springs and retainers. SGP is the place to get the goods from. I only wound up needing three shims, and they only took one day to come in.

Good luck
