Default Mossy Performance Short Shifter!!!

Well gents after a very exciting and interesting day up at Turbonetics riding in their single turbo beast link here: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=92047

I got a call from Greg Vogel over at Mossy Performance. Turns out he's come up with another short shifter solution for the Z. I drive over there and had the prototype installed on my car. First off I know "This thread is worthless without pics" Well I'll take some tomorrow. Anyways...This shifter at first looked a lot like the RE shifter unti they showed me something very peculiar. Unlike the others this shifter is adjustable. As in there are four settings. Setting 1: is actually a longer throw then stock but is FAR less nothcy and has a smooth feel and of course less force required. Setting 2: is exactly the same as stock. Setting 3: A bit shorter then stock but not too short. Setting 4: Quite a bit shorter then stock. Noticeably less distance per gear. Now thats all well and good but heres the kicker. The shifter is adjustable with out removing anything. Nothing has to come apart to change settings. I know "How the f@ck?" Check it out...on the upper shaft of the shifter there is essentiall a slider that unlocks the lower catch of the shifter moving the entire assembly down creating a shorter shift the lower you go. Each setting LOCKs into place and even through all the abuse I gave it today I could not make it chenge settings unless I intentionally stopped and did it. They way you grab this slider is that there is a lip at the top that is grabable through the shift boot. You pull up on it and it unlocks the shaft. You can then slide it up or down and lock it into postion. Like I said I have not been able to do this without trying so i SERIOUSLY doubt it would accidentally happen. All in all I am VERY impressed with this short shifter. I have the prototype so I will be feeding back data to him over the next week or so but expect this product to be out soon. Final price has not been set but it will be cheaper than the RE I can tell you that. I'll post some pics tomorrow. If anyone has questions let me know. I'll do my best to answer them for you. If I can't contact Greg Vogel at Mossy Performance at 1-866-55-MOSSY. For the SD guys.,..many of you will be driving my Z on Tues to see what you think.
