I just got my Cusco RS LSD in today, and just thought of sharing some pics with you. I got it from Z1 Auto. Adam, thank you for a great service and help ![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Also could someone look at this file (click right mouse button and “Save as” scanned documents) it includes some documents I got with the LSD and its all in Japanese. So if there is anybody out there who knows Japanese if you could please give me an idea on what it means and if there is anything that I should give special attention to. There is one page that has 60, 80 and 100 what does that mean.
Thanks,
Az

phile,
A 2 way (the way I understand it) is that it works on acceleration and deceleration, however, the 1.5 works full on acceleration and 50% on deceleration.
Moroccan_Mole,
I have no idea how to change it, I guess the best person to answer that would be Adam.
Tien,
An LSD is a Limited Slip Differential. to best understand it go to this site How Differentials Work

i read that article, and kinda get an idea what is lsd; so what's the difference between the stock one and the aftermarket one?
correct me if i'm wrong, LSD only comes in play when u'r making a turn rite? what kinda improvment do u get? something like your tire won't slip and u get more grip? am i right? is there anything else?
also i check Z1 auto site, cusco has 2 diff lsd, type MZ and type RS, which one u got? and what's the diff between the 2? it says MZ comes on strong and the RS comes on more gentle what is that supposed to mean? can someone explain it to me?
many thank to you guys answering my Qs, and correct me anytime if anything i said above is not right.
thanx ^^

On slip, the LSD will not help directly in reducing the slip, but will help indirectly by distributing the power to both wheels equally thus theoretically you should have more grip.
Overall, the LSD will help you going in and out of a turn and also will help you in a straight line should one wheel loss traction and spin faster than the other wheel. This what I know I'm sure others have more info on LSDs and could explain it better

Viscous works by fluid in the diff heating up causing the diff to engage...the clutch types literally use clutches.
Viscous works fine for a stock car but gets taxed easily on track days, especially on tighter tracks. Clutch types don't have this issue, plus they are adjustable for lockup %,. The Cusco is also adjustable from 1.5 way to 2 way by repositioning the cam inside the diff...its not a hard job to do at all and I'll outline it in the translation I send you

However; what makes the Cusco RS different is it uses "coil springs" to tension the clutch pack which are suppose to deliver a smoother engagement. The RS should also remain more consitent as it wears over time.
