Default Engine pulleys

I was looking at buying a set of pulleys for my 350, and the set I was looking at sells me 3 pulleys. When I looked under my hood, I saw two clusters of pulleys. one was a cluster of 5 pulleys, the other was a cluster of 3. Common sense would lead me to believe that I would be replacing the set of 3 ( i think it was the crank, the alternator, and the water pump) I just want to make sure that this is right before I do it.

Can anyone that has already has already done this mod to their car fill me in please? Thanks

Also, its not worth replacing my other set of pulleys, the set of 5, right?

Yes it is crank water pump and alternator. The crank pully itself provides 99.9% of the gains. Th other two pulleys are basically for show, if the other two pulleys make any any gains it would be a very, very small amount of power gained. I don't beleive the other two pulleys are available, they only make three pulleys that I know of. You can buy just the crank pulley if you would like, that might save you a few bucks. FYI you need to buy shorter belts to fit the pulleys akso.

Hope this helps.

Yup, that verified what I had thought. I didnt know that about the shorter belt though. Thanks, thats gonna save me some trouble now. That would have been really frustrating if I went to install them and almost had them in and then found out that I needed a shorter belt then. Thanks for the help.

Side note - two of the other pulleys are just idler pulleys anyway...just replace the crankshaft pulley and you'll be happy.

If your really going for bling bling do all three...but remember the alternator pulley is a bit ch.
