Default Immediate help needed!!

Ok, i'm installing helix test pipes. I have gotten all the bolts off the stock cats and i didn't even need the extensions. PROBLEM is getting the o2 sensors off. What size wrench do i need? Is there some special way to get them. This is the only thing stopping me. I get those out and it will take me no time to throw the test pipes on. Someone help me out please! Thanks

there are special O2 sensor sockets that have a slit cut in them for the wiring and where the rachet attaches is off to the side.

on a new car like a 350z you should have no trouble getting them out with just an adjustable wrench... maybe a little rust pentrant.

I got them off with just a wrench. Guess i had just needed a break. It's weird, the car actually sounds quieter now at low rpms but it is definately louder and raspy in the upper rpms. Its midnight here and i just took a quick stroll through the neighborhood, so i didn't get an extremely good feel for them yet. They dont smell too nice either. Thanks for the reply

I hope you removed any stickers and glue that might have been on them. If not, you'll be smelling burning sticker stuff for months...

sorry but that statement got me a good laugh, lol!
"burning sticker stuff"

i think it funier due to the fact that i have had bad burn smells from stickers left on exhaust pieces in the past......

Well...... haha, no i didn't think to check for stickers although i dont remember seeing anything. They stink anyways!! I put them on last night and finished around midnight. Took it out for a quick spin, noticed the smell and the raspiness. Drove it out to the gym today and the combination of the smell and the noise just didn't seem that worth it. NOTE: They aren't raspy throughout the whole rpm range like civic ricers, only upper rpms. So, I just finished taking them back out and putting in the stock cats.

I'm going to hang onto them i think and maybe later on when its not so much a daily driver, i might put them back in. Also, i'm in the process of getting a security clearance and i'm not so sure having illegal stuff on the car is a fantastic idea haha.

Anyway, sorry for such a long post but i did enjoy working on the car and I did at least get the new GRUPPE-S y pipe on and that thing does look real good.

Durobred, even though i probably have a slight hearing loss, it wasn't all that loud. I do have the silencers in, but honestly, with the test pipes on it seemed quieter in the lower rpms but louder in the higher rpms. Just my thoughts.
