Looking to get a set of cams. There are two people locally running JWT cams with their Vortech S/C. I was thinking about doing something a little different and try the Tomei 264 cams.
Also, can anyone explain the difference between the Nismo 262 , JWT 260 and Tomei 264?
As far as I know, the JWT perform better than the Nismo on the top end. If this is true, does that mean the Tomei 256 cams will perform better on the top end than the 264 and 268?
I am just trying to get an idea how the duration/lift effect whether you get a good idle cam, get better mid-range power or betrer top-end power.
Does anyone know the duration/lift on the stock cams?
Thanks!

Not sure about JWT but the NISMO's are a nice step up from stock but nothign too hairy
The Tomei 264's will walk them though in terms of mid range and top end power due to their increased lift. Tomei typically does a relatively mild duration and big lift as their signature to maing a broad powerband
This is a good article in leyman's terms about how different factors affect overall performance

JWT's have more lift than Tomie 268's... 260 duration though..
I would say that Nismo's and 264's are comparable...
268's will have the much increased mid and top end.. with a loss of low end though...
I'm happy with my Nismo's.. nice broad powerband and good idle..
