I have a Tilton Flywheel and 3.917 :)
Well my 350EVO 3.917 gears are in to compliment my Tilton flywheel.....and a fresh STREET clutch.... The rally was a little much for right now so it's sitting in a box.......
Anyone want to buy it???? Jason said it's reusable...only 2.5k on it and I can take picture's too.....
Anyway this car scream's N/A style now..... all I can say is wow..... I even worked on/ watched the gear swap...... removal taking apart and such.....only thing I didnt do was check the backlash.....
I just cant wait to get some hard data on this setup I have now... Im just taking it easy till its all broken in......120 miles so far... but I know I have sub 5 second 0-60 now for sure... the car pulls very hard.......
And I have been easy on it.......

Glad you like it!
I keep on preachin it over and over.......the 3.9 doesnt make the gearing too short. THis is exactly what the "track" model should have come with.

I dont feel that I need a NISMO or better LSD yet so I didnt install one but I was there and helped install the gears so it wont be that hard to install... it took like 1 hour to get the assembly out and 2 hours to change the gears and another hour and a half to put back in..... I was talking my time also....
Im not to concerned about HP right now cause this has to be a 12 SECOND Z......
my GTECH says 0-60 in 4.9 and im a novice driver....(my first stick)
It used to register a 0-60 in 5.3 so I believe it.....I also used it while i was running the 1/8 mile and it was only .3 seconds off so it's pretty close.......
I will go to the track next week though cause now with the street clucth I can slip it when launching........

redline: this being your frist stick, is what we've all been hearing true about the tilton street clutch/flywheel setup? is it as easy to drive as stock?
Also, is your Z a daily driver? do you find yourself shifting a lot more than before?
i'm definitely interested in getting the same combo but worried about day to day driving on the street

well at first when I got the Z it took me two weeks to drive smooth... then I drove for about 7 months and got fairly good..... shifting and a little bit of track time the best I ran was a 9.04 in the 1/8 mile with an exhaust and intake..... street tires also... then I decided to install the tilton...... being a newcomer to all this I didnt really know what I was getting myself into.....
LOL
well it was a pain but I drove the rally setup for 3 months and gave it as much as I could before I started to get irritated.....
People thought that I was a bad driver and that I should not even be in the car..... (Im in the navy and have to go through security check points so a bit of traffic)......
you really dont get used to it...... the two disk ceramic clutch I mean..... out in town with the radio on you dont think about it so its a little easier but hills and traffic suck unless you try to slip a clucth that doesnt want to slip and it will squeal real bad if you do that also causes a lot of unwanted attention....
after 1st gear though all is cake.....
well I bought the street clutch... got it installed.... and I can slip the clucth like stock.....ALMOST.... and it does not squeal..... it also does not chatter like the rally.... the only noise you hear is if you are under 2500 RPM and you shift.....
It easy to drive
