Default NISMO LSD Install

I dunno if this has been posted before, but I just wanted to contribute something for all of the info I have gained from this forum.

The install I am posting is very vague. Its just something for reference, if you are deciding to install an LSD. This NISMO LSD kit is very complete and was installed on my base model 350z. It took approximately 1-1/2 hours.

Nice write up, what tool did you measure the diff alignment with?

And I take it, you didn't need any shimming?

1 1/2 hrs. is impressive. Having a lift and all the right tools though makes any job a lot easier. Nice write-up.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

The install went by quickly when you have a few extra helping hands...

Gsedan35 - I used a magnetic based Dial Indicator gauge to measure the backlash. For my install, the shims that were originally in the diff worked out great. Another friend of mine who did the same install, did not need any other shims either.
