AAM makes a nice oil pan spacer with two NPT ports.

I thought the APS oil pans had NPT ports already tapped in? If you're FI'd and those ports are already taken for the oil return lines, then the APS oil pan is still compatable with an oil pan spacer.... You just won't be able to use a front lower arm bar brace is all... No biggie.

my turbo oil drain lines are already using those ports + those arent 1/8 NPT. Pan is already so low, I dont want to put a spacer in Ill just get a sandwich plate that includes the ports, I think I see one on ebay.

sweet so I purchased the parts you mentioned from summit, and I went with this sandwich plate i found on ebay, which was the only one i could find that had 2 x 1/8 npt for my oil temp and pressure. Summit delivered the stuff in 2 days! Crazy fast shipping... anyways, just waiting for my sandwich plate to come.

How did you mount the cooler to your support bar? I plan to mount it on the drivers side, as my power steering cooler is mounted on the passenger side. Hope 10ft is enough tubing, should be.

I actually just installed another Ebay (maxspeed) setup the other day. They have revised the kit since I bought it and is perfect for mounting on the passenger side. For the drivers side, you will need about 6-7 ft of hose and a few extra fittings, most notably 90 degree fittings off the cooler itself. With the APS kit, mounting that sandwich plate to allow clearance is next to impossible and will take a lot of time getting it just right. Pay close attention to the fittings on the sandwich plate as they will have a tendancy to leak if not done properly. Use tape, not paste to seal the threads.

as far as mounting the cooler, I found it easiest to just get some self tapping screws. Mark the holes, and pre drill small holes for the screws and it should hold fine. I used nuts and screws on mine, but a self tapper worked just as well on the one I just installed.

Again, it is very difficult to find the proper angles and such for the sandwich plate to fit with all the things in the way, but it can be done

on the sandwich plate I used 1 90 degree, and 1 45 degree fitting, and used 2 90 degree fittings on the cooler.

on the vortech, it just has you remove the oem brackets and "pin" it to the radiator.. so it sits flush on the radiator between the radiator and intercooler

Steve is refering to me (Zivman = Aaron as well)

I installed his oil cooler. it is essentially the same kit I am running. Steve's is mounted on the pass side vs mine being mounted on the driver's side due to the APS kit mounting the PS cooler on the pass side.

Thank you RBaldinelli. I essentially used your set-up. Thanks for the pics & part #'s. Made the transactions much easier.

I forget Aaron, does the APS Intercooler prevent you from keeping the front reinforcement bar (bumper), or do you have to remove it??? I have a greddy and I am thinking about chopping my reinforcement bar almost in half keeping the passenger half (if possible), just to have a surface to attach my 2 new coolers...oil & PS. Or else I would have to fab up something.
I can't preserve the bumper complete because of the interference with the intercooler piping on the pass. side and on the driver side the greddy windshield washer fluid reservoir is hiding where the bumper used to mount...Any ideas. or pics.?

i think you are missing 1 piece in your list you need 2 male/male 10-an fittings from the oil cooler to the 90 degree fittings.. I had to go to a local domestic racing shop to find them and they cost me 23 bucks a pop LOL... ripoff...

p.s: yea ziv im going to mount mine on the drivers side as well.

p.p.s:rrmedicx, the aps kit does allow you to keep the front reinforcement bar. The extreme does as well, just requires some cutting to fit the intercooler.

If you are referring to the original post, they are listed. They are the blue fittings in the sandwhich plate. If your not reffering to that, then I'll mind my own business
