I ended up buying the Fueled racing swap kit. The owner Todd gave me a great deal on the full kit and did a good job selling me why I should choose there product. They have a rear sump 6 trap door design in the oil pan vs sitting front sump like other kits. Motor sits lower and farther back then the other kits. Which is nice for many reasons. And if you use a t56 (which I don't plan on using) you can use the stock shifter.
I guess now I'm looking into trick flow heads and a cam.

I too have been running the fueled kit for the last year or so. Expect to clearance the false firewall near the passenger head, but other than that its been a great kit thats held up to track abuse. Plus you could have a party in front of the motor with the extra space it gets.

I'm getting rid of the false fire wall anyways. I should have done that along time ago

Looking into a head and cam combo now. PRC or trick flow ls2 or ls3 style heads. To much to choose from.

Decided to stick with the cd009 transmission. Using the Collins adaptor plate and clutch. This will be interesting

Any benefits keeping the Z transmission other than possibly cost? JW.

Does it keep the shifter in the stock location and later does not require a new drive shaft.

Awesome stuff

Zach, I suggest going to LS3 heads and having them ported. As for a cam, you gotta figure out exactly where the engine will stand with modifications and then call a reputable LS cam company and get one selected for your engine and wants. If you do it right, you should be near 500 RWHP with the right set up.

I know you have already chosen what you want to do with the transmission, but I never liked the 350Z trans personally. The T56 would have been my choice, stupid aftermarket for them and they can be made to do anything. As for the TR6060, I had one in my Challenger, and I liked it alot, but from what I understand it is alot more fragile because it has alot of plastic parts.

Z tranny stays in same location. Can use the z drive shaft as well. Inhave 2 z trannys laying around so for $360 bucks might as well use the adaptor plate and give it a shot. As far as cams go im still not sure. Looking at trick flow heads and a blower cam to go with this v2 vortech kit i just got. Should be really interesting
