2JZ GE VVTI Swap ECU
Wassup y’all I’m new to this forum stuff but I do have my hands on a 2JZ GE VVTI engine I am tearing down and swapping out the internals and gaskets to GTE ones. But my main concern and the reason I am making this is because I want to drive this semi “legally” in NY so I was wonder what should I do with my ecu? Do I keep my current ecu? Should I Go standalone? Or should I do something els? I am new to this so my apologies if this question is dumb lol I’m still learning on things like this.

Standalone. Im currently in the exact process. Taking out my built DE with Greddy tt. Doing forged gte pistons/rods in the ge bottom end and gte head.I'll be running ECU Masters Black as folks have great results with it.
What inspections and emissions regulations are you up against?
Most standalones will not pass emissions / inspections -
+1 to Link (or Haltech). Im a rep for Link and happy to help you with anything they sell. I also have access to Haltech products and can assist in any capacity - just shoot me a message.
