question.... why do people keep asking for 50% balance on roataing assembly? wouldnt you want 100%..... please explain the process.... and as far as reliability.... will this built motor be as reliable as a brand new motor from nissan as far as the way everything is built and works.... I know the pistons and rods will be stronger but will everything else work just as well./.... sorry for the noob question I just dont know alot about engine builds.

That was a misprint. It was supposed to say to .050 of a gram. I changed it on my site and forgot to change it here

The motors I build are all blueprinted and have better tolerances and products in them then what came from the factory so they are just as reliable as a factory motor. The one thing people have to realize though is anytime you start upgrading your car/motor you always run into more of a chance of failure since you are also pushing the motor/car to higher points. So reliability goes hand in hand with how the car is used and treated.

If you want the most reliable car you can have then don't do any mods, drive the speed limit, and do regular maintenance. Since driving the speed limit and not doing mods sucks you will have to lose a little reliability

Now with that said if you do plan on doing some sort of forced induction on the car which this car was not made for then doing a built motor will certainly give you a stronger more reliable engine then doing a turbo on a stock motor. Just ask the hundreds of people on this forum that have blown their stock motors
