As of right now, ngk does not list a part number for the HR motor, we are still looking into which plugs work with the HR motor.

I've been using the NGK one steps, is there a real difference with the two step?

It could, we recommend talking to your tuner before running 2 step.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's with the "one step colder"/"two step colder" bit? Is it better to have colder plugs than, say, the OEM ones? Does it go by the type of traffic you drive in (i.e. mostly freeway vs. city driving). Fill me in, guys!

The colder plugs are for running forced induction or turbo, when running boost, the engine needs colder plugs, two steps colder are for built, custom tuned engines running boost. Cold plugs will actually make NA cars run worse, if running NA please stick with the normal heat range.
