I do have one question. Why isn't this block sleeved, yet detailed to handle 700whp? I thought sleeves were required after 550-600 to prevent pushing water?

 

isnt it 95.5?

 

I believe that is somewhat of an outdated concept. There have been many builds exceed 700rwhp without such an issue. I believe one member even exceeded 1,000rwhp on stock sleeves, Hal runs 9's with stock sleeves at 770+rwhp.

 

The census is that sleeves aren't worth the headache but if you insist on having them done then have them done by darton directly.
