Not to knock anyone but your selling your kit for $XXX and S&R is selling there kit for cheaper $XXX. What's the benefits to your kit verse theirs?

 

S&R have created a great turbo kit and by no means am I here to criticize their kit but i will state the differences between our kit and theirs. They have taken their own approach to how they wanted to route the cold and hot side piping, and there are a lot of differences in the two kits that would include the following:
- Our SOHO kit has routed the cold side piping in the most efficient way to try and minimize heat soaking to the cold side piping going to the throttle body.
- SOHO has moved the MAF sensor 8 inches further up the intake pipe to a more straight path to reduce the amount of turbulent air that the MAF sensor will see and help with quick response on and off the throttle.
- SOHO kit has routed the hot side to where there is a lot smoother transition between the two individual inlets coming from the manifolds with the use of a collector allowing for better flow.
- SOHO kit has placed the wastegate underneath the vehicle to help keep the boost more stable with the wastegate spring.
- SOHO kit has used stainless steel with all of the piping since aluminum has a heat transfer coefficient that is 10 times that of stainless, and the weight difference is nearly non existent.
- SOHO kit uses the new Garret GTX3582R turbo, Tial V-band housing, Tial wastegate, and Tial blow off valves.
- SOHO kit does not require any of the stock reservoirs to be relocated or replaced.
- SOHO Kit doesnt require much modification in anyway and is very maintenance and install friendly.
- SOHO kit allows you to replace the clutch in your transmission without having to remove a majority of the turbo kit.

In the end the SOHO kit is not very much more than the S&R kit when you start to compare what you get with the two kits. We believe that the companies and materials that we have used in for the specific products in designing our kit may be a little higher in price but are of better quality and will last through any abuse that our kit is put through, as we have used the same products on our Time Attack G35 and have seen great results! We used everything weve learned over years of racing these cars and made sure we created the most perfect kit possible at the lowest cost for the customer. We believe we have created the perfect single turbo kit unique to SOHO Motorsports and at a great value.

Just got back from Z Nationals this past weekend and boy did we put the turbo kit to the test in its public debut! Everyone loved the design and layout of the kit and anyone who got a ride in the Z around Barber Motorsports Park got to feel first hand how great the new kit truly is. Here is the dyno graph with a stock VQ35DE non-revup motor, no aftermarket modifications, wastegate spring, conservative tune and outside temperature at 85 degrees.

 

 

The past week has been a fun week for us at SOHO Motorsports. On Saturday we had our first annual Open House at the shop where we opened the doors to all of the locals guys and had free burgers, hot dogs and raffle. It was a good showing for a laid back Saturday and all of the cars where on the lifts so everyone could see everything we have been working on lately. It was a fun way to finish out what has been a great 2012 for us at SOHO Motorsports. Check out the video here.


The following Sunday was our much anticipated last track day of the season, the 2012 Santa Run hosted by iTrack Motorsports at the brand new Atlanta Motorsports Park in Dawsonville, GA. With the SOHO Turbo 350Z ready for more abuse, aka R&D, we took it down to the F1 designed 16 turn beast that is AMP and put it through its paces from sun up to sun down. And boy did it run amazing. With perfect December Georgia weather of 75 and sunny the Z stayed perfect all day long, instant boost, perfect power curve, 400hp and 400tq, and handled pretty damn well as well with the addition of sway bars the day before the event. The SOHO 350Z was one of the fastest cars on the track all day. I'm seriously drooling right now.

How's the ground clearance on the pipines underneath, especially on the TiAl? Does it touch speedbumps at all?

 

There is no problem at all with ground clearance and the location of the pipes. The lowest point on the vehicle is the subframe with a stock 350Z and it still is the lowest point. We paid extra attention to placement of all of the pipes and ground clearance to ensure that there would be no problems. The Tial blowoff valve is oriented upright and facing away from the ground, the wastegate is oriented sideways and also as far up as it could go.
