Default 2006 5 at ipt built transmission

I put the wrong photo in before...

Here is a pic with verification, of my 2006 5AT IPT fully built transmission..

10 miles or so on trans...was installed and driven home to put on cargo truck to ship to CA for TT build....deep pan powdercoated, temp sensor, -6AN fittings 3200stall TQ...

I don't want to dyno the car with it and possibly ruin the clutch paks so I am selling it before dynoing and going to a GM transmission....

3000.00

If it is a "fully built" transmission, why are you worried about the clutch packs? What power levels does this company rate their trans to be good for?

even with a fully built auto trans, these transmissions don't do too well over 500WHP.. That's a good price tho and this is perfect for anyone just entering the FI world. GLWS

Yes its an 06 so tcm built in

Several guys running 550rwhp with no issues..mrg1981 dynode 697 rwhp but was told it was slipping at that level...

Yes I am worried about the clutch paks since I will be closer to 750-800 rwhp

because they dont handle anything more then medium power levels with reliability at least nothing currently offered. stock has issues with even stock block levels slipping, fully built will extend that to 550ish before slipping.

Default Ipt trans

IPT warranties it but I don't think it's transferable....Im not sure if it will work with an 08 (HR)...I would thonk so but you will have to research...

I would say of course, if you are going to run more power thru it buy a big setrab (40 row on my current car)....34 should be good, or go with a fan assist...up to you....

How did the transmission "feel" during those 10 miles?

Default IPT

I didn't drive it hard since I had just removed my SC and sold it, then immediately drove it home NA with SC tune so engine was sluggish....

Transco valve body kit I had before was awesome....hard crisp shifts barking into 3rd gear at times with vortec SC....ENO, RCDASH and others can tell u more than I can about the IPT "feel".

I want to go with the th4xxx variants (auto) but didn't have time...shop too slow, so I have to keep the 5 at awhile longer.
