[QUOTE=Boosted Performance;10311271]This group buy is for 6, 2003-2006 Nissan 350Z/G35 M/T mid mount turbo kits. This is the kit that started it all with Boosted Performance, and a kit capable of producing well over 600whp with a properly built VQ on pump gas. The reason this kit is capable of producing more power than other single turbo kits is the T4 turbine. Combine that with a Precision Billet 67mm turbo (upgrade) and this kit will outperform all single turbo kit on the market.

This is also the only kit that can accomodate a 76mm turbo with minor alterations to the chassi. For more details on this upgrade please PM.

These kits are currently being built, and will be ready to ship in March, 2014.

I saw someone ask about sedan fitment earlier in the thread, and was wondering if anyone has tried it yet? I have an 06' 6sp sedan.

I don't think anybody has attempted to use this kit on a sedan.

Default header and exhaust

What's a good set of headers and "cat-back" exhaust to run with this BP kit? Looks like all the true duals are out of the question for a single turbo VQ35DE.

Most of the good name brand headers should work fine, and fit well. As for exhausts, any exhaust that would bolt up to the OEM Y-pipe should work with the kit.

I only have a stock block at the moment, and even when Im built id rather have a quicker spool than what the graphs are showing above. Would you be able to do one with a different turbo? I dont really know what is best, id like the curve to be something along the lines of soho's.

Please note that the graph you see on the first page is with a T4 .81 a/r turine...this is much larger than the T3 frame turbos that you see with competitors.

Also, the graph there shows about 8-9psi of boost at 3500rpm, and is not an "in house" dyno run.

I only show dyno numbers from customers and 3rd party tuners, as that is the only fair representation of what the turbo kit will do. I do not have any "in house" dyno runs where the manufacturer can push things to the very edge in order to make a kit look/perorm a certain way.

This has been an issue on this forum before, where manufactures numbers could not be met by customer.

Right, I understand what you are saying. Of course manufacturer's are going to advertise the best graph they can find. What I was getting at though was asking if you could substitute the big t4 for a t3 or some other turbocharger that will spool faster. I would rather have full boost earlier in the rpm range instead of a potentially higher peak hp i know the t4 may be capable of. Im just not familiar with precision's specific turbos, so I don't know what would be best.

thanks

Yes, the T4 can be had in a .58 a/r, .68 a/r, .81 a/r and .96 a/r configuration on the 6266 Billet wheel turbos. However, boost does not necessarily mean more power. Boost pressure is a measure of resistance to flow, so a larger frame turbo may in fact make more power at 5psi than a smaller frame turbo would on say at the same boost pressure due to exhaust back pressure.

With a smaller turbine, your power/torque will drop off sooner as well, meaning you will have to shift sooner.

It is also much harder on the engine when you are making a lot more HP/TQ in the lower RPM's than in the upper RPM range, which can also cause even faster engine ware....something to think about.
