thanks machupo. i get confused easily.(i call it youngest child syndrome) i should be back in germany around the start of next summer.

hopfully ill be able to spend some money on the z. the wife keeps taking trips places with her friends to keep her mind off being lonely. (luckily the z isnt there yet or she would be on the autobahn with it.)

 

i'll be there on Saturday only (done enough camping over the last two years), it's about an hour north of me (Schweinfurt)

benefit is picking up a barrel of Kreutzberg on the way home

just got back, I had forgotten how horrible that "track" is... constant rain didn't help at all, either.

I couldn't hook up (on my street tires, full pressure since there was no air station) for the life of me.

Best run was a 14.54 @ 168kph w/ a 2.785 60' (*** sliding all over through the first 330)

I am so embarrased... at least I beat the tubbed/caged subie I was racing (caught up and passed right at the end)

Other than the strip, there were some seriously *WEIRD* cars there... 40mph bumper cars, extended (3 axle) VW golfs... very very different from a US drag, for sure (no tech, no water pit, etc). Some of the fastest cars were early 80's VW's (tubbed, tuned, of course) which were running high 11's.

 

one of the guys there said something about a better track in Bitburg that was holding a drag in two weekends, i'll have to fish around for some more info.

 

yeah i was talking to some people i work with and they were talking about bitburg being a decent track. when i get back to DE ill have to meet up with some of you and go check it out.

Yea I went out to RW 2 years ago. It's a blast. This was before I owed my Z so I wasn't driving but still a blast. Crazy cars, and mouthy Germans. They had a foam party at night, which got crazy as well. And as far as the sky diving, yes on the same airport there is a place you can do it at. Bit costly though.... especially with the current exchange.
