This is John Zinn, from Stillen.... First thanks to everybody that came out, it was far away our best attended event in our history. It was great to see everybody and in many cases put faces with names.
In response to Rickdogg's post above I do want to apologize for a handful of inconviences that arose from the record number of attendees.
First, Toilets, or lack of them. We had ordered more but for some reason they didn’t arrive. The rental company was closed and unreachable to correct the problem. We tried and tried and tried to find another that could help us on very short notice, but it seems that the damand for porta-thrones is much higher than we would have ever imagined. Once we finally reached the company, on the Monday after the event, they apologized profusely (a hollow victory to be sure) and we pass their apology along with ours to you for the inconvience. This isn’t to pass the buck, but to simply share the facts. It was ultimately our responsibility to have everything in order and in that we failed, and for that we are very sorry. Again, next year there will be redundant systems in place to insure the problem does not repeat.
Second, our original entry & parking plan was derailed by the local police when so many vehicles showed up early that it was deemed a hazard. Our proximity to an internatinal airport puts strict scrutiny on any “unusual” activity near the airport. These are the times we live in. We do want to apologize to every one for the long wait to get in and situated in the parking lot, especially those that arrived early and were bumped to the back of the line that you should have been in front of. We did notice, we are very sorry, we thank you deeply for arriving early and promise that next year we will not have the same problem.
Thanks again for coming. Next year's event will be here before we know it and we are always open to suggestions.
Best,
John
