My friends and former members of the SCCA I used to drive with got together for a track day @ Arroyo Secco (Deming, NM) for an open track day event. I took some photos.

I think you'll recognize the Lambo. It's one of the first in the USA. I have about 200 pics and I'll be posting more later. Here are some teasers.....

Close ups of the SV. It's absolutely stunning.





and me. Having a blast cheesing for the camera. No I didn't drive it, but I did get a ride on the track.

 

This was my ride at the track. It belongs to my mentor and driving coach. It was soooo much fun to drive a car like that. Nothing Electronic. Not even power Steering or ABS. Pure Visceral driving experience.

I am so not a lambo guy at all, but that SV is just menacing looking (and sounding!). The front is a bit convoluted, but I love the side and rear shots!

I had a great time out there. Taking the shots at the corner was fun as well. I totally forgot to take videos but I did manage to take one. I'll see if I upload it.

As for the Porsche, to the best of my knowledge, it's a 1975 Carrera. 2.7L from factory, but with the headwork and other mods I'm sure it has more displacement. It has headers to straight pipes, loud as hell. Full reinforcements, roll cage, sways, coil overs, and stage 2 brakes. It's weighs about 2200lbs. 6 Point Harness and a bunch of other stuff. I believe the output is somewhere of 250-275whp. It's stupidly fast and very tight. My back was actually hurting after.

I'll try to post more pics tonight. I'm in the OR today so I won't be home till late.
