Default After Market Steering Wheel and Cruise Control?

I was wondering what people with aftermarket steering wheels have done with the cruise control switchgear? Has anyone re-wired it somehow and moved it to another location or has everyone just gone without it?

I love the look of some Momo wheels and I think it would be a nice mod while I'm still probing the waters for the right wheel and body kit combo.

Also, if anyone has any info on how to install an aftermarket whee, that would be great!

Happy Motoring!

After market wheel is easy to install you just need to purchase a hub, disconnect battery carefully remove air bag (unplug it) and there is a bolt that holds it on remove place hub (adapter) and screw in easy as pie. I have relocated the cruise on all prev veh it is not hard just have to relocate some buttons cut out wherever you install them and vwalla all done.

What about your airbag??? Don't people care about their airbags? Aftermarket wheels are mostly for racing applications when you are so strapped into the car, the airbag wouldn't reach you anyway. Just keep your stock wheel and mod something else. What would happen if you were into an accident and your airbag didn't deploy? Even worse, if something did happen to you and your insurance company found out you disabled the airbag by removing it.....they probably wouldn't pay the claim.

Just something to think about.

well i acctually drive everyday with 4 point harnesses TIGHT... so i'm not real worried... more worried about what would happen if the bag did come out. i'd rather remove it.

Something else to think about is the many people that die each year due to the airbag deploying. I am still not convinced airbags are the solution. They are still killing people every year, so I am willing to take my chances with a good seat belt.
