Default have not yet tried this....

That should not be a problem. The oem harness will not work.
There are 2 motors on the roadster seat. The coupe has one.
wire the seat controls directly to the motor wiring.
One for fore and aft of the complete seat.
One for seatback infinite adjustment using the controls on the seat and/or the control switch on the back.....

The electronic controller under the seat may not be needed.
This controls the auto forward and the little movement when operating the top..
You may not need this.

You can, let me explain the seat tilt did not work but you can still slidet the seat forward to get access to the rear compartment. I'm not sure if that makes sense but that is the only thing that would not work as the hookup was different.

@raycs7: I would really appreciate a definite answer on the wiring...Ed seems to be saying that the passenger seat can still slide forward but it will not tilt, is that right? I am stuck with the CD charger in the rear compartment and I really need to access that (it's the only real place to store things anyway)...still the seats are really gorgeous...
any pics of the seat and/or wiring at all?
@Ed: can't wait for the pics when you find them!
thanks! Marco

Hey Ed, after we switched out your seats, you were still able to use the power switch to move the seat backward and forward, just no way to tilt it, right?

If you are interested, I'm having Perf Nissan look into alternatives for wiring/switch for to make my coupe power seat switch work in my roadster. The parts guys are still looking into it, but I'm thinking there might be a way to splice the wires and make the original switch work, not sure though. I can update you if I find anything out.

Okay so I figured it out...
Today I got my burnt orange ventilated seats and went to swap them with my black leather seats in my roadster...ran into the same problem Ed had...no tilt on the passneger seat. I switched and played with a ton of different scenarios before finally figuring it out. I looked on this forum and others for help but found none and I am pretty experienced with this kindof stuff and with electrical. I don't know if nissan did it on purpose, but inside the seat there is a wire harness with four wires that are transposed cuasing the problem. I traced everything and checked everything before finding it. I took apart the harness, switched around the wires and it worked like a charm and I was very happy. I am confident now that I could wire the ventilated seats to fit any Z with power seats...it can be done. If anyone needs help let me know.
