Modified Door Panels for Lambo Doors
Anybody have pictures? I want to get the doors that go straight up but you have to modifiy your panels so they don't hit. I hear about all your problems with people not knowing and dinging your A-pillars. I want to get the doors but I also want to just eliminate the dinging problems too. I know our doors are fat at that air vent area. I just need some ideas on how to flatten it and keep it functional. Thanks.
McDuck and Lightning are currently working on something like that, but no matter what mod you do, I don't think you'll be able to open the doors straight up. You'll still need to open they outward a little. This mod is more of a safeguard for dings I'd say.
Here's my Lambo door thread BTW. It has all the talk about this mod at the end.

Oh yeah, I know you still have to open them a little. I searched for the thread for the first person who did them on this forum a while ago. He modified his but the pictures didn't show up for me. Well, as soon as yall devise something go ahead and post the pics. Thanks.
I did a bit of research on vertical door kits for the 350Z while I was at SEMA.
The one company that I have found that offers a kit that allows the door to go completly vertical is GT Factory. This kit needs to be welded in and you have to either buy a slimmer door panel from them or modify your stock ones.
Decah and Vertical Doors, Inc. both make bolt on kits for the 350Z. which do not go completely vertical but neither do the doors on a Lambo which inspired the idea.
LCD is a company out of Europe which will soon release a 350Z kit that will be incredible. Bolt on, Lifetime warranty and a certification of passing TUV standards (Europes version of our DOT but with higher safety standards)

Check this link for motorized doors.

I found these guys a while back. I believe these kits are a universal fit and the power opener takes a while to get the door up and down.
On an added note, I watched them open the door on the Saleen S7 at SEMA which has motorized doors. It was so cool.
