Default Driver's Side Door Handle

Did you happen to notice that the driver's side door handel is different than the passenger's side. The passenger side has the verticle grip with the aluminum finish. The drivers side doesn't have a handel, just an indentation for you to grip on the armrest. I have no idea why they did this. I would actully like the full handel on the driver's side also.

you do have one, called the steering wheel and stick shift. the passenger has nothing to brace themselves with. you do.

also notice the "groin support" on the drivers side. dont ever let it be said the Z is a chick car. (not that chicks cant enjoy it too)

I think it would look better, plus it would make holding on to the door in windy conditions a little easier.

Ergonomically, I would suspect that some people would hit the driver's door handle with their elbows while turning the steering wheel around, so it is not installed on the driver's door side.

I'd have appreciated it more if Nissan had put that "indentation" on the passenger side arm rest as well. So the passenger has something to hold onto when opening the door. Sometimes, the door swings wide open.... potentially hitting a wall, a car, etc.

I think you might need some help, but not of the car variety, if you know what I mean.

The passenger has a nice big handle to hold onto, don't worry. Repeat after me: the passenger is safe. There, feel better?

Now, the driver doesn't need that nice big handle because he has a hefty steering wheel to grasp firmly.

Nobody is going to be hurt. Deep breaths...

This one of the features I like, the doors are different, the gauges point toward the driver, the driver's seat is different from the passenger seat, etc. I like it a lot, the world is not symetrical, whey should the Z be symetrical? Western civilization, in the U.S. at least, tries to make every thing perfectly straight or we think there's something wrong with objects that are asymetrical.

I don't, in fact I was delghted to find the Z was more organic in its parts than thr run of the mill, old fashioned mirror image construction. Did you know the 94-97 Honda Accords front facia was inspired by the American Bald Eagle looking at you directly? Japanese designs all have an organic starting point and they pay more attention to organics in their designs. I think it is a brilliant
design, I enjoy the differences each time I get in the car. Also, the differences are very functional. What more could you ask for?

I have a different problem with my driver side arm rest. Just bought an 07 touring with frost interior and noticed a lot of scratches on the arm rest / driver side. is it possible to
change the arm rest or just remove the current one and find someone to repaint it??.

Anything is possible. I suggest you do a search in the interior subforum in the tech section as this has been discussed a million times

Holy ****, I was just reading the other day that bath salt ****s people up so hard it makes them eat other people like zombies and they get unnatural strength too. This cop shot a guy eating another guy, and the zombie looking motha fawka growled and kept eating..

Oh and anyways, yeah I realized the door handle thing when my brother closed the door and the the handle broke off the door... Apparently the previous owner broke it off and glued it back on crappy.
