Default Front Windshield.... To Tint or Not To Tint?

i just got a 35% llumar tint on all of my windows besides my front windshield. it looks great! i am very, very tempted to tint the front windshield, to even everything out. everytime i look at my car, i think of how great it would look with the front windshield tinted. At 35%, i do not lose any visibility from the interior of the car. the main issue, is getting tickets from cops. I had my eye doctor write me a letter/prescription stating that he reccomended me to get my windows tinted to help with my "light sensitive eyes" (which is complete bull ****!). armed with the eye doctor note, should i tint my front windshield?

It works great as far heat reduction, near 100% UV blockage, and aesthetics

I have 50% on the front windshield btw.....it looks a little darker than it is in person, but hopefully, this gives you an idea of what you're looking for

Do be careful when searching someone out to do your winshield as there are way too many electricals in the front that could short if they don't do the proper prep work prior to installation. In addition, any good tint company will heat shrink the film so that the film contours to the curvature of the front wndshield........however, if they lack in experience, too much heat can easily crack the windshield as the glass is laminated

Here's a shot from the interior

I got a visor strip. thought about a light tint on the whole thing, but I figured I had to draw the line somewhere between form and safety.

Tinting the front windshield looks nice, but if you get the quantum type of tint, polarized sunglasses will cause a rainbow effect when viewing out which can be very irrating and unsafe. Just some FYI

If you want legal, technically, no tint on the front three windows, windshield, and two front side windows here in CA. Period, no matter what grade or percent it is.
the fornt windshield is illegal everywhere if i'm not mistaken.

In California, window film is not allowed at all on the windshield while the two front windows are limited to 70% VLT.

Yeh, it's not very often that we get windshield tint requuests.......they're mainly with the high-end luxury cars and sports cars that cover up the windshield up to 20%. There are some added benefit to having the windshield -

1. provide complete UV protection for interior parts and occupants
2. reduces glare for night time driving
3. reduces heat .......great for our summers here!
4. aesthetics

i have 35% on all my other windows... would you reccomend a 50% tint on the front windshield? i want it for aesthetics... but i dont want something that looks obviously illegal. in illinois, having the drivers and passneger front windows tinted at all is illegal. but i see it all the time, and thats how mine is as well. with 35%, its a smoked tint, but its not blacked out. i think if i get 35 on the windshield, it may be a lil too obvious though. the tinter reccomended 50% on the front windsheild, for purposes of not getting pulled over.

I limo tint all windows and 3 percent on front and have been fortunate enough to never get cited for it. I get pulled over for other things but they never even comment on my tint. I did it because it is hot as hell out here and with black cars you cook. I highly recomend it both for visual appeal and for also keeping heat out.
