Any fitment problem with VIS Fusion hood ?

Default Any fitment problem with VIS Fusion hood ?

Like the subject line said.....Just wondering since I was going to get the Seibon hood but found the thread about Seibon hood clearance problem so now I am back to the VIS hood.

i have some rubbing due to having to raise the strut bar to accommodate my kinetix plenum...makes contact at two small points on each side of the bar.

Strut bars dont do much actual chassis stiffening anyway. It wouldnt hurt much just to remove it anyway.

Actually on this car it makes the world of difference. The car was designed with the bar in mind to help it in the suspension dept. Now a car that doesn't come with one stock, then yes, i agree, that's the case, but on our cars the strut bar makes a huge difference.

As for the hood, I have the same hood and it hits the bar stock bearly. Also the under hood tray that they give you for the rain won't fit. Not without cutting it or really pushing down hard on it, the tray hits in a few spots...

Thanks for the info. I was really counting on the rain guard/tray to channel the water away from the engine compartment. Oh well, I guess I would have to wait until Seibon or VIS make a better hood.

In order to keep the strut, did you have to shave down the underside of the hood? How did you fix the problem?

Is there any way to keep you handling the same without the strut??

How about a thicker sway?
